Megan’s collection Booker's Point (UNT Press, 2016), an oral history-driven portrait-in-verse, was awarded the 2015 Vassar Miller Prize and the 2017 Maine Book Award for Poetry.
Her poetry has appeared in journals such as Poetry, The Iowa Review, Crazyhorse, The Southern Review, Mead, The Baltimore Review, The Antioch Review, Memorious, The Cincinnati Review, Unsplendid, The Indiana Review, Angle, The Louisville Review, and the Berlin journal Sand, and has been anthologized in Best of the Net, Best New Poets, Verse Daily, Port City Poets, and The New York Times Poetry Pairing Series.
Her awards include the Vassar Miller Prize, the Poetry Foundation’s Ruth Lilly Fellowship, The Robert Frost Foundation Award for Poetry, Best of the Net 2013, Best New Poets 2010, Maine Media Workshops’ Grand Prize for Literature, and the University of New England’s Bluestocking Award for Creative Writing.
She has been awarded residencies as a Hawthornden Fellow, at Hawthornden Castle (Scotland), and at the Wrangell Mountains Center (McCarthy, Alaska), Casa Libre en la Solana (Tucson, Arizona), and Hewnoaks Artist Colony (Lovell, Maine).
